Sharps Compliance is now offering its semiannual scholarship, available to undergraduate students studying healthcare at an accredited university this Fall. First, second, and third prize winners will be selected to win $1,500, $1,000, and $750 scholarships, respectively.
Below is this semester’s essay topic:
“With the growing opioid epidemic and rising number of prescriptions in part due to the aging population in the United States, the DEA released new rules in 2014. These rules were created to help reduce the amount of unused and expired medications being used improperly. Discuss how the DEA rules and medication disposal methods can help prevent prescription drug abuse.”
Essays are being accepted until June 16, 2017. Winners will be announced on July 14.
