Sharps Compliance has selected winners for its Fall 2017 Scholarship Contest. The contest was open to undergraduate students studying healthcare at an accredited university this Fall. First, second, and third prize winners won $1,500, $1,000, and $750 scholarships, respectively.

“With the growing opioid epidemic and rising number of prescriptions in part due to the aging population in the United States, the DEA released new rules in 2014. These rules were created to help reduce the amount of unused and expired medications being used improperly. Discuss how the DEA rules and medication disposal methods can help prevent prescription drug abuse.”
