The essay topic was about waste-to-energy.
In the past 50 years, waste has tripled, and waste per person has doubled. The EPA has stated that Energy from Waste is one of the cleanest sources of electrical power. Currently, Waste-to-Energy (WTE) and Municipal Waste Combustion (MSW) in the U.S. account for approximately 20% of renewable electricity generation. Please describe in detail how Sharps Compliance partnering with healthcare organizations can increase the amount of clean renewable energy generated. What types of medical waste and what other benefits to the environment or society could be affected?
